Mac McCafferty is a senior partner at
Vickers Riis. Prior to joining
the firm, he was a partner in the multi-state firm
of Adams & Reese. After graduating from law school at
the University of Alabama in 1970, Mac served as a law
clerk
on the Alabama Supreme Court from 1971-1972. He has been
in private practice in Mobile since
January 1972.
As a litigation partner, Mac has handled
complex litigation matters in a variety of areas, including
complex insurance defense and coverage issues, agent and
broker errors and omission claims, employment litigation,
business
auto and trucking, products liability, premises liability,
construction defects, occupational disease (asbestos) and
general tort and breach of contract claims. Mac has extensive
first-chair trial experience, as well as substantial experience
in mediation
and arbitration.
Mac has served as Vice-President of
the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (Southern Division)
and is a member of the International Association of Defense
Counsel (IADC), the Defense Research Institute, the Trucking
Industry Defense Association (TIDA) and the Transportation
Lawyers Association.
