Employment, Toxic Tort, and Environmental
Lisa Hansen focuses her practice in the
areas of employment law, environmental regulatory matters
and toxic tort and environmental litigation. In her employment
practice she counsels clients on an ongoing basis on compliance
with employment laws, and the development of employment practices
and policies to assist in their day to day business. She also
counsels them on terminations, discrimination matters, wage
issues, internal investigations, and other related matters.
She defends employment claims, including discrimination, wrongful
termination and retaliation claims. Her toxic tort and environmental
work includes the defense of claims for individual exposures
and claims for property damage. She also counsels clients
on compliance with environmental regulations and working with
environmental regulators.
Lisa began her legal career as an Assistant
District Attorney for the 28th Judicial District. On entering
private practice, Lisa concentrated her practice in the areas
of toxic tort litigation and employment law. She served
as
in-house counsel for one of her clients, a large multinational
chemical manufacturer. She served in various legal capacities
as Site Counsel and Assistant Division Counsel, and was responsible
for counseling on general commercial matters and in the
areas
of environmental compliance and labor and employment law.
She also served as Director of Environmental Health and
Safety.
